In brief: about Bunzlau dinnerware
Bunzlau is a Polish pottery with the distinctive blue color. For hundreds of years, this Polish service has been made in Boleslawiec. A town near East Germany also called Bunzlau by the Germans.
In the 19th century, Bunzlau dinnerware became popular in Europe and has been a favorite collector’s item ever since. The richly decorated pottery is 95% handmade. Only the excavation, mixing and baking is done by machine.
What Bunzlau pottery is further known for are the rich prints (decors) on the tableware. This is conceived and created today by designers from the Polish Academy of Arts. These motifs are applied by hand to Polish dinnerware.

As you can imagine, the prints on Bunzlau dinnerware are constantly changing. Annually Bunzlau releases some 40-50 sets, as well as a number of Limited Editions.
